President's Message
Greetings,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the website of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., Atlanta Peachtree Chapters (Top Ladies and Top Teens). I am honored and ecstatic to serve as Chapter President, standing on the shoulders of the outstanding women who came before me. Our chapter was chartered on June 26, 2010 and service has been our focus since inception while serving the communities of city of Atlanta, Clayton, Dekalb and South Fulton Counties.

Over the next two years, our Top Ladies and Top Teens chapters will provide community service that aligns with the vision of our National President, Lady Sharon J. Beard: Celebrating our Legacy: Transforming Lives and Making a difference…….One Teen, One Lady and One Community at a Time (TLC).

We will work to transforms the lives of youth and adults in the communities we serve by Setting the Standard & LEADing the Way Together. LEAD will focus on the development and enhancement of our Ladies and Teens’ LEADERSHIP skills so that we continue to be prepared servant leaders when serving our communities. We believe in the power of EDUCATION. Thus, we will educate the youth and adults in our communities on ways to live a healthy lifestyle (mentally, physically and financially) and help identify resources available to them to assist with any needed lifestyle changes. We will develop, deepen and maintain strong ALLIANCES/AFFILIATIONS with organizations that align with our mission to effectively serve youth and adults in efforts to eradicate the plethora of issues that have plagued our communities for decades. Lastly, as our Ladies and Teens LEAD the way, we will focus on DIVERSITY. Our chapters (Ladies and Teens) are diverse and represent multiple generations. This characteristic makes us unique and well positioned to service our diverse communities. We want everyone to have a “Seat at the Table” by allowing everyone to think independently together.

The Atlanta Peachtree Chapters’ LEAD initiative will be implemented through the lenses of our five programmatic thrusts: Top Teens of America (including March of Dimes and St. Jude), Status of Women, Senior Citizens, Community Beautification, and Community Partnerships. In addition, the LEAD initiative will strategically align our goals with the missions of our national projects: National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), National Council of Negro Women, Inc. (NCNW), Sickle Cell Disease Association of America (SCDAA), and United Negro College Fund (UNCF), which helps to increase our reach in communities.
Together as a strong unit, our Ladies and Teens are eager, excited, ready and prepared to LEAD while following TLOD’s guiding principle of being “TOPS” in service. The Atlanta Peachtree Chapters are on the move and we invite you along for the journey. Please explore our website and follow us via our social media sites to remain informed about our community service events and ways to financially support our many initiatives.
Always at your Service,
Lady Kala Walton
